Worked as a commercial fisherman for the summer season in Bristol Bay, north of the Aleutian Island chain. Our two-man team pulled in 30 tons of sockeye salmon by hand.

In a freelance capacity, I work closely with strategy departments to ensure a solid (and valid) foundation for brand voice projects and creative storytelling. Recent clients include Cadillac, Best Buy, Gillette, Google, Uniqlo, Unilever, Etihad Airways and Spotify at these agencies: Rokkan, Grey, Havas, BBH, B-Reel, and The Barbarian Group; also direct-to-client with TripAdvisor. I provide deep insight in strategy, brand voice/tone, product development, copywriting, creative direction, and production; working autonomously, or with a team.

As co-managing director and lead creative of this Interpublic Group agency, I made great strides in improving the quality of work and developing a positive/humane/encouraging culture. My responsibilities included management of both the creative and production staff, rebranding the agency, and executing the design of new workspace.

I provided leadership in concept creation at Co: Collective (a visionary consultancy). I worked with the talented team at B-Reel on Google projects. And at Badger & Winters, I played a major role in winning the global AVON business.

I managed teams and created advertising campaigns for Jim Beam bourbon. Emirates airlines tasked us with making them a luxury brand with a new global campaign. I also made a big impact for the small-in-stature Smart Car.
